PMP®/CAPM® Certification Class Announced for DFW Area Jan/Feb 2020

The curriculum covers project management vocabulary, concepts, principles & formulas needed to prepare attendees to take the PMP®/CAPM® Certification Exam, 6 Saturdays starting 1/20/20 in DFW.

Worth area the PMP®/CAPM® Certification Exam Prep Class will be held at the Hampton Inn & Suites, 1600 Hurst Town Center Drive, Hurst, TX 76054 on Saturday, January 11, 18 & 25, February 1, 8 & 15 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm CT. The curriculum includes 40 hours of instruction, 3 textbooks, and the Fichtner PMP Exam Simulator.

1. The primary function of the Project Manager.

2. The requirements for the PMP® and CAPM® certification.

3. The four values of the PMI® Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.

4. The difference between a project, a program, and a portfolio.

5. The names of the 5 Process Groups, 10 Knowledge Areas, and 49 processes addressed in the PMBOK® Guide, 6th Edition, Table 1-4.

6. How to solve mathematical questions related to communications channels, cost variance (CV), cost performance index (CPI), schedule variance (SV) and schedule performance index (SPI).

7. The purpose of the Project Charter.

8. The components that make up the Project Management Plan (PMP).

9. The difference between a risk and an issue.

10. The meaning of the letters “EEF” and “OPA” and give examples of each.

11. Answer PMP® and CAPM® exam questions based on the content contained in the PMBOK® Guide.
